Halloween in Kingfield and an Early November Bike Ride to Minneapolis Central Library

Another year of Halloween trick or treating in Minneapolis. Mostly up into Kingfield this year. This year Meadow's friend Saraphina joined us for trick or treating.  Meadow was a mushroom witch and Theo was a bald eagle. Good job with Theo's costume Brookie. We mostly trick or treated in Kingfield this year. Big kitty. Meadow probably liked this yard the best.

An M&Ms Halloween

Theo's been on a Mario spree recently. Mario Maker 2, Bowsers Fury, Mario Odyssey. He's also been getting a bit riled up by the challenging moments.  It was crunch time for me to get these costumes done before Halloween. Meanwhile I once again ended up in the northwest exurbs. This time I purchased a used Iron Sleek backyard rink setup. The kids are going to have the best winter ever.  Somehow I managed to haul all the hardware and 19 long 2x12s. The kids Christmas present had made it home safely.

Halloween: Parade, A Party and Plenty of Candy

Friday We finally got around to carving pumpkins. It would've been more fun with G.G. and Grandpa, but it would do. We had a few days to spare before Halloween, anyhow.   I love the light shadows from our leaded glass windows.  Brooke and Meadow teamed up while Theo and I tried our best. The kids added their pumpkins to our stoop. Thanks previous owners for leaving the giant pumpkins for us.

Halloween 2020

With Halloween being a bit different this year we planned to have a Halloween party at home. But first pie for breakfast. We've been using up those apples from a road side stand in Wisconsin for weeks. Theo was not into costumes this year and wouldn't put on his Yoda costume. He finally agreed to a cape. Meadow has been planning for our party for weeks. She made this ghost piñata for the occasion. No idea what's inside.

Halloween 2019: Eleanor's Birthday and Blake is Back

Back in May when we went on the Open House Minneapolis tour we visited Orchestra Hall. They had a drawing for tickets to see Harry Potter in concert. I put my name in and won. Meadow and I finally got to go.

Halloweenies Come to Visit

Meadow's cousins came for a visit except Harvey; that is he was home sick with croup. Only two Halloweenies this time. This year for Halloween we decided to dress up together. I borrowed most of my outfit from Meadow and made Scott's costume. We were the Justice League. We originally wanted to be Teen Titans, but this worked out better. I was expecting Marina to skip the costume and dress up as Meadow or something. I wanted to check out the Anoka Halloween parade this year. We followed the crowd to the parade route. It's pretty famous in these parts. Marina's costume was from Brittany and Jeff's wedding. There weren't any curb spots left so we found a spot on someones driveway. The owners were sitting on their porch and brought over a chair for me. I guess Theo looks heavy. I overheard someone mention we were at the end of the parade route. That means we caught the end of the 5K. Batgirl was sup...
