G.G. and Grandpa Make Their 1st Visit to Interstate State Park and Taylors Falls (and Much, Much More)

Oh, hey, Brooke's parents visited us for the first time in forever. I told them if they wanted to keep Meadow, they'd have to bring her back. They arrived on Monday evening with plans to stay all week. I had to work still and we left them in charge of the kids. After a long day at the zoo we convinced them to walk with us to Bread and Pickle.  They were not excited by this, but we knew they could do it. Nothing like an old-fashioned burger and beer meal from Bread & Pickle on a nice summer day.

We're Selling the Condo

We always knew our condo would be temporary. I could stay here forever but eventually Meadow and Theo will want their own space. Our next house will be a duplex with the other unit being rented out.  We had planned to keep the condo and rent it out too (and buy a duplex), but it wasn't quite working out with financing. Also realized we'd make a killing on selling the condo. Extra bonus: we'd get a nicer duplex with more cash down. We had been looking for places for the past 8 months, but houses are selling super fast in this market. If we actually want to make an offer we need to sell our place first. So today was spent getting the house ready. I've been working on the house every day since getting back from our week at the cottage. 12:00 Scott works in the kitchen I worked on deep cleaning the living room. So many toys hidden under the radiator.  Meadow ended up staying with my parents after we left the cottage. Theo was left on his own but I don't think he minded.

Colin and Jenn's First Cottage Visit and the Vilas County Fair with Brooke's Fam

We had a lot of visitors up at the cottage this week. A "kid" my sister used to babysit was up with a couple friends fishing plus my parents. He's now in college. No longer a kid. Meadow got to open a belated birthday present.  A mermaid outfit. She had been wanting one for a long time. I carried my little gal down to the lake. Mermaids can't walk.
