We couldn't wait to get back to the cottage again.  If it was up to me, I'd never leave all winter. But, alas, like usual our next visit was on my birthday weekend. Theo's breakfast of choice.  My mom bought my dad another waffle iron so he can have three irons going at once when cooking for all of us.  This one's kind of crazy, but it does the job. It was a windy day today so we had to get the kites out.  Who wants to start a Three Lakes winter kite festival? I think we'd have to start it.  There was enough snow to go snowshoeing this time.

As always, we made the trip to Little Chute and the Fox Valley for Thanksgiving. Since we don't eat Thanksgiving dinner until the evening. I suggested this year we drive on Thanksgiving day instead of leaving the night before.  First thing when we arrived, G.G. was already giving Meadow gifts. My mom is always spoiling her.   Then we were off to Brittany and Jeff's for Thanksgiving fun. Theo got the longest piece of cheese. Marina showing us her island on Animal Crossing.  I made some maple whipped cream just before everyone arrived. All the cousins wanted to do at first was watch each other game.

When we went on our last Hipcamp road trip to the Appalachians  we were supposed to finish our trip near New Glarus, Wisconsin. That scouting gig got postponed and here we are traveling on down to camp there. We left early on Friday and were still hungry. Scott spotted a Hardees and had to stop for cinnamon biscuits.

Friday I'm having surgery later this week to remove a giant abnormal mole. This weekend is dedicated to adventures since I won't be able to do much next weekend. And it could be the last nice weekend for a while. First stop, the library for storytime. After picking out a stack of books we were hungry. I suggested we go over to the Broadway Bar and Pizza for a lunch buffet. Pizza and pasta? Heck yeah! You had me at buffet. We have been working on phonics with Meadow lately. When she got her spaghetti she said, "Ba-sket-ti starts with B!"  We have a Wisconsin State Park pass that we really hadn't used as much as I thought we would this year. Unlike Minnesota State passes they are good for that year only, no matter when you buy it. Where as Minnesota is good for a year after it is purchased.
