Library and Hair Dye

As usual, Meadow requested big pancake for breakfast. Soon it will be Theo making the requests. For now it's just an affirmative, "Yay!" The best breakfast. We didn't really have plans today except to go to the library. Meadow dressed up for the occasion. Meadow's doing a biography on Maria Sharapova at school. The downtown library was the only one that had a kids book about her. This kiddo doesn't get to the library as much as his sister used to. We hadn't been to the library in awhile so Meadow stocked up. More dress up shenanigans at home. She also got to try the Oculus Go VR headset I got to show my virtual tours  at an upcoming conference. We didn't do much the rest of the day. Theo did manage to detune the guitar a few times. We ended the night with Meadow and I dying our hair magenta.

Nachos Navidad with the Rogerses

When Meadow requests big pancake, you make big pancake. So, Brooke made big pancake. See how that works.  While Theo napped, Meadow and I went to the library for a Gnome making class.  The description made it sound like more sewing would be involved, but we still had fun.  She made a girl gnome of course. It looks just like Meadow. Then I left the kids for a few hours to go to work. We made forts and Meadow danced around. Little guy has fun with anybody. I came home to reading time. We hadn't hung out with the Rogerses for a while and invited them over for a nachos feast. You can't go wrong with nachos. We would've hung out with the them more, but we didn't realize they were actually living in the cities full time. And of all places they live a block from our old house. Theo was loving the company. Little Dora and Harper just loved playing in Meadow's room.  After they...

Meadow Goes to School and a Sleepy Sunday

We had got back from northern Minnesota a couple days before Meadow had to start school. On that Monday I had no time to do anything. I wanted to take Meadow on an adventure before she was at school everyday. The day before school started I took Meadow and Theo to Lindstrom. We got lunch at the Swedish Inn . Then we got some treats at the Lindstrom Bakery . Meadow was super excited for the molasses gingerbread bear. Of course, we had to stop by the Franconia Sculpture Park. They always get to go without me. Meadow's never happier than a couple hours running around, checking out the strange and beautiful sculptures. She was also loving her Batgirl pose. This time she was really into this mirror sculpture. She's suddenly become quite the fashion model. Funny kid. Then our little Meadow had her first day of school.  Wonder Woman lunchbox. Check. Cool shoes. Check. She was ready for a day at her new scho...
