Meadow @11 Months

Our baby no more; she has grown into a toddler. She's starting to understand us, remembers her favorite foods and is learning new sounds. She does so much now there's a lot to say. Her favorite foods are bananas, Cheerios, any kind of meat, most fruits, yogurt, eggs She does not like cottage cheese or anything with chili flakes.  We've also discovered she's allergic to strawberries ( maybe). She cruises like crazy, but refuses help if we try to help her walk. Meadow says ma, da, ba, na, née and other random words.  She has seven teeth total. Four on top and three on the bottom. She currently loves exploring, climbing, biting anything and everyone, eating everything she can get in her mouth (when will this stage end?), drinking from cups... ...pulling things off shelves, leaving bite marks in all her toys, watching kids, fake laughing, taking things on and off her head, She still loves attention, but doesn'

Meadow's First Bike and Kayak Adventures

The Thursday before Labor Day we took Meadow on her first bike ride in her trailer or should I say chariot.

Brooke's Least Favorite Day Of The Year

Apparently I slept in the Sunday morning. That isn't really that surprising. It's nice now that she's so mobile we let her play while making breakfast. Always on the move. Scott requested BIG pancake for breakfast. The last few times I've made them he said he was sick of them so I was surprised by his request. You can get sick of anything after a while. As you can see we are eating in the nook now. In the winters it's too cold since there's no heat in the kitchen and in the summer its too hot because of the sun hitting it. We try to take advantage of eating in here when we can. It is after all one of my favorite features of the house. She will finally eat plain yogurt. She loves it now. I actually think she didn't like it at first because we made a bad batch. She also loves raspberries. The nights have been staying above 40 so today seemed like a good day to plan the garden. First I had laundry to hang out.

A Northwoods Mother's Day

My mom had texted me last week asking if we wanted to go to the cottage for Mother's Day. Scott didn't have any work on Monday so we headed there for the weekend. I was able to get off work a little early so we didn't have to get there so late.  Driving through Lindstrom Scott wanted to get donuts at the bakery. We didn't have any cash so we settled on ice cream at the Cotton Candy Ice Cream Shop  in Center City. About 20 minutes before we got to the cottage Meadow threw up all her milk. Soaking herself and her carseat. She never threw up like this before. It was kind of scary. She kept asking for milk. I guess I should've known better.

Mayday

After seeing photos of Mayday last year Brittany said she wanted to come up for it this year. Brittany and Jeff are going to be moving soon so I figured this would be the best chance for them to come visit. Meadow was happy to have her cousin over to play.
