Friday We had planned on airbnbing our old house during the Super Bowl. Then we sold our old place, got a condo and Brooke got pregnant. So, that was off the table. On the Friday before the big game we took the bus to Downtown to explore Super Bowl Live.

  Cold Summer day. Only something a cat could like. Brooke's been playing games with Cevonne ever since she go her new toy. I've also been dehydrating fruit all week to take for snacks on our trip. I'm not an omelet kind of guy, but I do make Brooke breakfast every Sunday. Not bad, but not pancakes, waffles or crepes. Since it was rather frigid we had to go to library. Since the two books I wanted weren't at the library we went to Barnes and Noble. Not like us you say? It's been one week in our local challenge and things are a little tougher than I thought. I wanted to buy some fruit and the only local ones the coop had were apricots and currants. I never had currants before and had just talked to my Grandma who mentioned she had them on her farm growing up. So they must be good right? Wrong! They taste horrible. Unless I happened to buy a bad batch or something. I figured the only way to make them better was add a bunch of sugar and make a crisp. I did buy groceries for the week and they were all local. I like that the Wedge has a tally on their receipts. I attended a party on Saturday where I was asked to bring chips and orange juice. The chips I had no problem with, but orange juice.
