Another week and another house full of crazy Fiala kids. One day June asked if he could have a half-sandwich/half-bagel. We obliged.

My sister Chelsea texted me last week saying she was going to be in town for work and asked if she could stay the weekend.  And she did. Meadow wanted to have a sleepover with Chelsea and stayed with her in the guest room while she was here. I made big pancakes for everyone for breakfast. After breakfast Chelsea headed home. She wanted to beat the snowstorm coming and see her boys. After she left Meadow helped me make granola. Whenever she helps Brooke she seems way more helpful. Earlier this week I came down with some virus. It was horrible. I hadn't been this sick in a long time. I even missed two days of work. So Scott wouldn't catch my germs and listen to me coughing all night he had been sleeping in the guest room. Meadow only had me to wake up in the morning.  Meadow and I had breakfast while Scott slept. I love sleeping in. Olive's birthday party was today. Meadow picked out a cupcake picture to color for her. She was really excited to color the cherry red. Then was really excited to color the whole thing red. She kept saying, "Olive is going to love this!" She's also getting better at staying in the lines. She does the same thing on an iPad coloring game. I'm still not feeling great after being sick. Another weekend home means I'm back to making fancy breakfasts. I helped out by making some poached eggs. Avocado on hasbrowns with Scott's poached eggs. Added sprouts for the parents. And hot sauce for papa. That's me. After breakfast Scott and I went back to working on the house. While he is working on the upstairs bathroom I am working on skim coating the guest room ceiling. Meanwhile Meadow did her own thing. Like coloring... helping herself to the fridge and reading books. She loves to just take apples out of the fridge without asking. I guess I can't get too mad. Brooke used up the last of the ceiling paint. After two days I patched the plaster around the toilet. Working with plaster of paris is a pain, but I'm gettting pretty good at it.
