We got up late and decided to go to Manhattan.

We do a lot of walking around

Dan is practicing for New Years.

Dan took us out for lunch with his gift card for some Chicago style pizza. We ate like kings.

We walked through Central Park.

There were some great photo opps.

I'm not sure what this place was for but it was pretty.

There's an ice skating rink in the middle that we're going to check out before we leave.

Some people here dress pretty crazy.

We were going to go to the art museum but the line was a mile long so we walked around instead.

Christmas time is pretty.

Saks 5th Avenue is pretty outside

and inside

I got new shoes at a vintage store yesterday

The biggest Catholic church in the US

Grand Central Station had a light show while we were there

We saw some interesting magazines at the news stand.

Mmmm street vendor pretzels

There was another ice skating rink in Bryant park

We found Time square. It wasn't hard to miss.

We stopped in the Marriot for a drink.

I had to get a cosmo of course. I find that I don't get carded here often. Nice.

The view was great.

With Spring Comes Biking

Whenever daylight savings changes I flip the mattress. (I know I'm a little late) Every new season I change the duvet cover.  Scott actually helps me this time. Yup, I'm cool like that. I was a little worried we had too much dough so we got out every pan that could be used for muffins. I was wrong, we only needed two pans. By the time we actually eat "breakfast," at least that's what Brooke calls it, Peanut has already finished most of his Organmix. I know, we spoil the little runt. Speaking of Brooke's fascination with breakfast, she will not eat anything that resembles lunch for her first meal of the day. So, even on the laziest Sunday, breakfast comes before lunch. As you can see Brooklyn really loved her muffin-fast -- even if it was already 1 p.m. While I finish up some dishes Brooke cleans the kitchen. Did you know that Brooke is a cleaning expert (really, she'll clean your house or cook for you. H

Bu Bye Chicago, Hello Milwaukee

The morning after the wedding we had leftover bagels for breakfast. ...and Brooke looked out the window. Haha that's not me, that's Emma. See what I mean? My own husband can't tell the difference.  By the way did you know we had roommates in our hotel room? I also ate leftover pie from the wedding.  Despite having to be quiet at night we enjoyed sharing our room with Tyler, Emma and Olive. It was kind of like a big sleepover. Then we had to check out and head to Pilsen for lunch. Tyler had been talking up Nuevo Leone for a while now, so we skipped Burrito House this time. Next time it's a must. That's two times in a row that I didn't go to Burrito House.  Pilsen is one my favorite Chicago neighborhoods, so I was easily cajoled. I'm not exactly sure how they do their laundry with the machine facing the window. Tyler, Emma and Olive got lost or something, so we walked around for a

Our 30 Days Of Biking

As you have read, this month we took on the 30 Days of Biking challenge.  We've never been able to do it for one reason or another. This time we weren't going to chicken out. 9.1
