How Come Everytime You Come Around...

I wish I could've updated while I was there so I could remember everything I did. Thinking about it makes me sad that I'm not there. I want to live there when I grow up.

We did a lot of sightseeing and walking around. I didn't realize there was going to be so much to do, I could've easily stayed another week..or month. I waited so long to go and see Scott again and now I have to do it all over again. I wish I was a stronger person, I cried on the plane. I was watching The Holiday so I hope people don't think I'm a sap for crappy love movies. I guess I'm still overwelmed by the whole experience that I don't know what to say about it. I list everything that I can remember right now.

Trafalgar Square
Kings Cross
The first Beigel Shop
Greenwich
Tate modern
The Shins
Bath

ok I lied there is a lot more but I don't feel like listing them all.

I look forward to summer. I currently live in two houses by the way. I'm excited to live in our new house. Hardwood floors, tall ceilings, two stories, and a bath tub with feet. The kind of house I've always wanted to live in. Sadly I won't be close enough to the beach anymore, that's ok I'll still go.

Bu Bye Chicago, Hello Milwaukee

The morning after the wedding we had leftover bagels for breakfast.
...and Brooke looked out the window.
Haha that's not me, that's Emma. See what I mean? My own husband can't tell the difference.
By the way did you know we had roommates in our hotel room?
I also ate leftover pie from the wedding.

Despite having to be quiet at night we enjoyed sharing our room with Tyler, Emma and Olive. It was kind of like a big sleepover.
Then we had to check out and head to Pilsen for lunch.
Tyler had been talking up Nuevo Leone for a while now, so we skipped Burrito House this time.

Next time it's a must. That's two times in a row that I didn't go to Burrito House.
Pilsen is one my favorite Chicago neighborhoods, so I was easily cajoled.
I'm not exactly sure how they do their laundry with the machine facing the window.

Tyler, Emma and Olive got lost or something, so we walked around for a bit.
Brooke really wanted to eat this hot dog, but I said "No, it's a paint…

Honeymoon: Did Someone Say Fudge? How to Avoid the 57 Fudge Shops on Mackinac Island

We had to wait an hour but we made it onto the next ferry.

I couldn't keep my eyes off the Mackinac Bridge. One of the Star Line Ferries actually passes under it. Next time we go to Mackinac, probably with kids, we'll have to drive over it.

Cottage for Harvey & Nolan's Birthday

Back to the cottage again. This time we enjoyed our tamales at a trailhead for ATV and snowmobile trails in Cameron.
La Loma is still the best tamale shop in all of the Twin Cities. Perfect to bring along on a drive to the cottage.
We decided to come up for Nolan and Harvey's birthday. We hadn't seen them since Thanksgiving and probably won't see them again until next summer.
It seemed like the best time to spend some time with the Gostishas and Farbers. With school back in person in Wisconsin, we'll have to reevaluate when we can see Brooke's sisters. Covid sucks.
Since we hadn't seen Chelsea in a long time we had more birthday presents to exchange. Theo got a new water bottle. Back in February, when it was his birthday, Chelsea asked me what Theo wanted/needed for his birthday. We had recently lost his water bottle in Mexico so I suggested he needed a new one. I obviously forgot all about this conversation. Earlier today while grocery shopping Scott picked up a …
