How Come Everytime You Come Around...

I wish I could've updated while I was there so I could remember everything I did. Thinking about it makes me sad that I'm not there. I want to live there when I grow up.

We did a lot of sightseeing and walking around. I didn't realize there was going to be so much to do, I could've easily stayed another week..or month. I waited so long to go and see Scott again and now I have to do it all over again. I wish I was a stronger person, I cried on the plane. I was watching The Holiday so I hope people don't think I'm a sap for crappy love movies. I guess I'm still overwelmed by the whole experience that I don't know what to say about it. I list everything that I can remember right now.

Trafalgar Square
Kings Cross
The first Beigel Shop
Greenwich
Tate modern
The Shins
Bath

ok I lied there is a lot more but I don't feel like listing them all.

I look forward to summer. I currently live in two houses by the way. I'm excited to live in our new house. Hardwood floors, tall ceilings, two stories, and a bath tub with feet. The kind of house I've always wanted to live in. Sadly I won't be close enough to the beach anymore, that's ok I'll still go.

May Didn't Quite Get Canceled: Part III

Sunday called for downpours all day long. I got the kids in their rainsuits and we headed to the Rose Garden.
It was nice with no one here.

Theo wanted to bring his ducky along on a walk but we couldn't find the doll carrier. His overalls would have to do.
Meadow had to get outside for distance learning, so we went to the bird sanctuary next to Lake Harriet.
Meadow had to tell her teachers what she heard, felt and saw. And she sent a picture and audio recording of the frogs in the marshy forest.

Of course she needed to.

Scott had to work outside the home for the day while I worked from home. Once in awhile I'd come out to check on the kids. One time I caught Meadow making her own mug cake. I asked her what she put in it and she said, "I don't know, a little of this a little of that". It was actually not bad.
She even cleaned up after herself.
We have been working with the neighbors in our building to put in a patio in the back. I made a wall with our random p…

A Day Berry Picking and Canoeing Around Grey Cloud Island

I've always made fun of Camelbak backpacks, but recently we got one for our hiking backpack and then one for Meadow's birthday present. At a garage sale I even picked up an old Camelbak.
Meadow got some birthday money from her Tuska grandparents. When I asked her what she wanted she picked a hiking backpack. We lucked out on finding one that holds a water resivor. I told her the bag was going to get heavier with water, but she still loved it.

Even with it being the end of July already, we still had to get our annual berry picking in. Sadly our usual berry farm experienced hail damage in June and was closed for the summer.

We settled on going back to Sam Kedem Nursery Garden.
We hadn't been to Sam Kedem's for a few years and with our normal berry picking field out of service it just made sense.
The blueberries were inside of these nets and I kept getting stuck on the net.
The berries were super tiny and not as plentiful as our usual place.
Meadow was loving her new back…

Gardening Mama (or How to Hang Out with High School Friends)

Some of Scott's friends from high school that he hasn't seen in like 7 years were stopping by later to see our house. We quickly cleaned up the place, breaking one of our favorite mugs on the way.
