I Love Vistors

I've had a pretty eventful week with vistors and traveling. It started with my parents and little brother driving out west (to my dad I live far away) to come visit me. It was my mom and brothers first time being in the cities and they seemed to like it. I basically dragged them along to do all the things I've always wanted to do.

I then went down to Milwaukee for my last time this summer and probably for awhile. As I say this I know I'll probably be back in 2 weeks because that seems to be the pattern this summer. Scott is moving back up here next week so maybe I won't. I've been to Milwaukee more times than I have been home. I enjoyed that city and all its frozen custard, hopefully I'll make it back down there soon. But finally after 6 months we won't have to drive 2-5 hours just to see each other for only a few days. Now I'll be able to see him whenever I want.

I then drove back up to Little Chute for the day. It wasn't as exciting as it usually is, mostly because I had a bunch of things I needed to get done so I didn't get to see very many people. Especially my childhood friend Keely who I haven't seen in a year. Maybe next time, which I'm not sure when that will be either. I did get to have sno-biz which I had been wanting to do all summer so I was happy for that.

Cevonne came back up to Minnesota with me, having her here is always a blast. Even though we do the same things we did at home. I'm sure we'll do something spontaneous.

Yardwork, Ikea and Pumpkins

My new parents-in-law got us a dehydrator for the wedding. Knowing we were going to be cleaning up the garden and going to farmer's market, we took a gander at our millionth kitchen device during breakfast.   Scott added granola to his oatmeal.  The oatmeal was rather bland, just the way Brooke likes it.   Scott was actually cleaning up so I had to take a quick photo of him as proof.  Scott told me he was, "putting a blanket down for Peanut," while singing. During the winter months peanut needs a warm place to peer through the window. Seeing as it was nearly November, I setup his blanket for him. Seeing as the farmers market season is dwindling down, we headed to the market...once again. The close proximity to the cities central farmer's market has to be one of the best assets of living in NoMi. We were both amazed by the bounty of produce still on sale. We quickly filled up our first bag and took it back to the car....

Camping The Driftless

Last month we went to a birthday party at Choo Choo Bob's Train Store . Since then Meadow (or should I say Scott and I) have been hooked on getting Meadow more trains and tracks. I found this awesome deal on Craigslist for a giant bag of trains for only $20. The best part of being a parent is getting to live out your childhood dreams. Craigslist makes that a lot easier.

The Second Annual Pumpkin Carving Night

On the Wednesday night a week before Halloween we did our annual pumpkin carving with Cevonne and Jose.  Cevonne was excited to make margaritas before she realized they didn't have any ice.  Then she took my camera and started shooting up the place. I think she was still disappointed we had no ice on the premises. Somehow we decided on pizza for dinner. JT couldn't decide where to order it from. Madeline was sad she didn't get a pumpkin.  We ordered Toppers for dinner. Scott said, "I don't think I've ever eaten this sober." I was pretty full. She was also showing off Cevonne's Trinidad and Tobago t-shirt. Then we all set to work on our gut scooping while Madeline looked at us like we were weirdos.  Both Scott and I had come up with better faces than last year . I was in it, to win it or at least make decent showing. Scott actually spent more then 5 minutes on his.  JT and I just...
