Escape to the Cottage: Part Deux

We thought we would head up to the cottage one last time before winter. As usual we arrived late on Thursday night. With that we could get out of the way for any showings and a Sunday open house. You should really buy our house. It's been great to us and is in tip-top shape.

Anniversary and Apple Picking

The other day Scott said, "Are we doing anything for our Anniversary?" I had honestly forgotten about it. We decided to skip finding a sitter last minute and have a day together instead. Also, we kind of like doing things as a family. Is that so wrong? Maybe we'll change our minds when the next kid comes around. I feel like I see Scott all the time so I don't ever feel the need to go out on dates. I'd rather go out with friends on a group date.  Brooke's been in charge of breakfasts for most of the last year or two, but our annual crepe breakfast means that I'm in charge of breakfast for one day. Apple crepes, our anniversary tradition. We had plans to go apple picking today anyway. This year I chose the Fall Harvest Orchard . It would be a perfect starting point for our day west of the cities. On the way in Meadow shouted out every color flag. When we arrived I asked Meadow if she wanted to see the animals or go in the c...

A Rainy Eagle River Cranberry Fest

We had two open houses scheduled for the weekend, so why not stay out of the way by escaping to the cottage. We've went to the cottage a lot fewer times this year. So, why not. We arrived late Friday night. My parents, Brittany and Marina were already there.

A Few Small Steps to Selling our House

Since today was going to be an all housework day we decided to do a picture an hour. Mostly because when we are working on something we forget to take pictures.  8:19am I wake up first 9:21am I start cleaning the kitchen by doing dishes leftover from the day before. 10:23am Scott and Meadow finally wake up and make crepes. It's been ages since we've made crepes, so why not. 11:24am I needed a haircut and beard trim before we cleaned up the bathroom. I get back to decluttering and deep cleaning the kitchen. Meadow watches tv. 12:31pm Still cleaning the kitchen. Meadow gets herself some milk. Scott finishes painting exterior trim. After all these years, I finally have the exterior looking like I'd like it. One last coat on this window and we're ready to go. 1:33 pm Scott stands outside while Meadow plays in the yard. Oh and Tyler is currently living in our driveway. Actually I think I was painting the...
