Oh, hey. It's our neighborhood. The kids wanted to play with the Potato Heads and made our family with them. There's Theo. Oh yeah I dyed Meadow's hair teal.  No, wait, there's the real Theo. I had a job up in Duluth, so I asked Meadow if she wanted to come up with me. She could spend the day with Blake whose done a good job social distancing. The poor kid has been stuck at home for so long. I stayed back with Theo, I figured these two could have a little trip together. We arrived the night before and met little Ruth, Blake and Daniel's new dog. We played in his yard for a bit and then a double rainbow showed up. It was pretty great in person. We walked through Blake's new neighborhood, Central Hillside. Meadow even got to walk Ruth. She loves walking dogs. We got some food from the King of Creams and brought it to a nearby park. Another year. Another Friendsgiving.

Since we got home from the cottage Meadow and Theo developed a deep chest cough. We took them to the doctor, but it turned out to just be a cold. The next day both Scott and I started feeling down.  I felt pretty rundown the morning of the MayDay parade and thought I'd stay home. I ended up tagging along after seeing how much stuff Brooke would have to carry.

I missed out on the Big Pancake breakfast because I had to go to a prenatal appointment. Somehow big pancakes have went from a special Saturday breakfast to Meadow and I's go to homemade breakfast.

After talking about it for forever, we planned a camping trip with Cayla and Amanda. I have also been wanting to do a backpacking site with Meadow for a long time too. Luckily these two were up for the adventure.

My dad called a few weeks ago to say he and my mom were planning to come up and help us tile our bathroom. I made them lemon poppy seed pancakes the morning after they arrived. They love their little pancake princess. My dad fixed the bottom portion for Meadow's rocking horse. I will have to finish painting it this summer. My mom thought Meadow was too young for the attachment, but she loved it. We started by doing some plumbing work. We had to put in a new valve and reconnect the old shower pipe that is still in the wall. That made the job much easier. I even learned how to solder. Why the shower was ever taken out I will never know. Gigi showed Meadow how to play her favorite games on her tablet. While the guys worked, us girls explored the Linden Hills neighborhood. We first stopped at the library. I was surprised there were no other children or many toys to play with. We checked out a few other stores before ending up at the Wild Rump...
