A Cemetery Walk, Backyard Gardening and a Mother's Day Soccer Game

We've recently put Theo on a schedule.  Basically so we can get him out of the house. If it was up to him he'd just play video games all day, every day. Wednesdays we have named Walk Wednesday. Last week we went to the T.S Roberts Bird Sanctuary and Theo kept saying he wanted to go to the cemetery. So, we biked to the Lakewood Cemetery. The cemetery has a brochure of all the notable gravestones. Of course Mr. Loring, father of the park system, had a big one.   Hey, there's the historic street car driving by. It was actually quite beautiful in here. I want to be an Elk or Eagle. I need to get on that.

A Day In The Life

Scott had to work today so it was just Meadow and I for breakfast. We have been putting Meadow to bed later which makes us stay up later and then everybody sleeps in in the morning. We ate breakfast fast to make it to the farmers market. I accidentally brought a camera without a memory card. Oops. While Meadow napped I got to working on her birthday invites. Scott thought I was making tombstones. That would've been quite morbid. I think these are ...

Another Minneapolis-St. Paul Home Tour, Tour

This is the first year since we started going on the Home Tours that I had a Saturday off. Saturday's are better because there's more time to see everything you want. We ate a quick breakfast of granola. We started by heading to a cute craftsmen home in the tangletown in our neighborhood, Jordan. The downstairs was craftsman while the upstairs had art deco features. The house was converted to an up-down duplex at some point. Then we saw a few Victorians on Fremont in Old Highland. This house had so many coats of paint. Meadow's favorite parts were the stairs. The next house had an awesome arch. They will be taking off the siding this summer to reveal the original clapboard. The next house was the one I was most excited to see. It was originally built for the Donaldson's that owned a giant department store in downtown Minneapolis. That department store turned into a regional powerhouse that lasted until 1987. ...
