Super Sick Weekend

 When you go to the Children's Museum someone is bound to get sick.

I always warn her.

In this case it was all of us. We got back to back stomach bugs and colds.

 Meadow and I did manage to make it out once to go to our favorite fabric store.

 I'm taking on a sewing challenge of making a backpack.

 After finding the exterior fabric, I had too many choices for the interior.

 Meadow wanted this one.

Should've went with the fries.

I almost went with a flannel, but figured it would make the backpack sweaty on our backs in summer. You'll have to see when I finish what I chose.

Saturday It's become a yearly tradition to stay at a cabin for my birthday. Since Saturday night was the only night that worked for us this year, our locations to stay at were slim. We had casually checked places all week. We hoped to stay somewhere with snow, but all those places were far away or booked. We decided to wait to see what was available on Saturday.

Scott has been in California all week visiting his sister and brother, as you may already know. With him gone my day was pretty uneventful. I had decided today that I was going to get things done so not a lot of photos were taken. Just a progress photo of my strawberry plant that I planted on Easter. I had also started 3 kinds of tomatoes and bell peppers this week.  For breakfast I had steel cut oats. I know pretty exciting.  Something unusual did happen today. I had gone out to get groceries and found Peanut soaked from the rain waiting by the door when I got home. I'm not sure how he got out or how long he was gone. He is not actually blurry in this photo as it appears. He had just shaken all the rain off his fur. Exploring (and Camping) Southwest Minnesota Historical Sites

We have most of the southern portion of Minnesota to visit before the end of the year.  That's when our Minnesota Historical Society membership expires...unless G.G. renews it again.
