On the Twenty-Second Day of Advent I Ate an Egg Nog Shake

It was time once again for us to head to Wisconsin.

Well, actually Detroit, Michigan via MKE.

With her new hat Meadow was ready to hit the road.

Our neighbors are so great.

Brooke had to make sure we had everything. As you can see that's serious business.

I had a coupon for a free mini concrete mixer. Scott chose an egg nog shake.

I had to something Christmas related on this ride.

After arriving in Cudahy Scott picked up dinner at Tsing Tao

This place is so damn good.

Meadow snuggled into bed with Mr. Owl.

Good morning, Theo! Good morning Minneapolis.

Biking to Doors Open Minneapolis 2025

This weekend was Doors Open. We had missed the last couple years so I had a big list of places to see. I thought we'd drive to get to more places quickly, but Scott insisted we bike as it was easier to park.  Theo and I were ready to take some pics. We started out at the Rand Tower. My personal favorite Minneapolis skyscraper. Next we got to see inside a manhole. They had robots patrolling the sewer and a live video feed on a TV.  Then we walked over to the Dayton's Project. We got to go in the nooks and crannies of the old JB Hudsons space, like this the old window display. There was lounge or bar that was opening soon to the public.

G.G. and Grandpa Make a Fall Visit

My parents were finally able to make it back up for a visit. This time we'd take them on more than a few adventures. Wait, weren't they just here a few months ago. I guess it's all relative. If you mean 6 months ago, yes. After dropping Meadow off at school we walked over to Our Kitchen for breakfast. They only have counter seating so the high chairs are the clip on kind. I had a job in the morning, so missed breakfast and was hungry when I got back. After Scott returned we took my dad for another walk to get some beers. My mom decided to take a nap instead. We walked over to Tap Society. I was hungry and everyone else wanted a drink. There's one employee that helps you check in and then you get a card that allows you to pour beers from the tap wall. They also have reasonably priced burgers. It's nice for when you want to try a beer, but don't want a full glass. We took a long detour, walked by the fancy ho...
