Minnesota's Kolacky Capital, Picking Some Apples and We Bought A New Car

Today's adventure would take us to the Kolacky Capital of the World for apple picking and pastries. Now Theo's a pro at making his own breakfast. They watch too many cooking shows. But tbh I'm more likely to leave a pan on the stove than the kids. On our way to Montgomery the kids drew together. It's just so sweet when they get along.  While in Montgomery we had to stop at Franke's Bakery for kolackies. We both got these confused with Paczki. Not at all the same. Kolackies are Czech not Polish.  These were kind of like a stuffed hot cross bun and pretty small. So, we got a day old pack of donuts too.

Donuts and Shelf Installs

Hey our living room is clean. It certainly isn't anymore as I type. We had plans to go to Duluth this weekend for the Duluth Preservation Alliance Tour. I just so happened to sit next to one of our tires and thank God I did.  This sucked on two levels. We couldn't have a Duluth weekend with Blake and Daniel and we had to replace our tires just as we were set to sell our Honda Insight. Somehow Theo talked us into getting donuts at Bogarts.  It really isn't too hard to do that. True.  Lucky Theo got one of the last s'mores donuts.  I don't think I've ever seen this intersection this busy.  I think its the new protected bikeway on Bryant. It's kind of a big deal. Pecan was sleeping in Theo's bed so Theo tucked her in.  Meadow went to a friends house so Theo and I played Candy Land.

Early January Happenings

Back in the cities I had a shoot in Stillwater to start the week. My client requested some drone shots and aerial 360s from the Wisconsin side. It was below zero and my hands nearly fell off.

Donut Walks are the Best Walks

Smoothie face cutie. This kid gets in so much trouble, but he's darn cute.

A Como Zoo Day Out

Today seemed like a good day to go to the Como Conservatory. Once everyone had napped, got dressed and fed we were on our way.  Apparently Theo wasn't done napping. To get Meadow moving faster we promised her we would stop for donuts. We stopped quickly at Bogart's. Her new Snow White dress looked pretty cute under her big girl jacket. We had to settle for the lavender cake donuts. They were out of the good ones. Still good though. Meadow lucked out with the donut holes. Soon we go to the zoo and went into the very steamy rain forest room. Theo liked watching the fish. Meadow was not afraid of the snakes. Even Snow White was there. And ants. We cut through the gift shop and Meadow really wanted this bear hat scarf mitten combo. Then we stopped briefly in the kids room. Meadow asked why there was money in the fountain, we told her if you throw a coin in you can make a wish. She later wh...
