Work Trip: Dallas Part Deux

I was back in Dallas for a day or so to shoot another college campus. After the shoot I made my way back to Bishop Arts District for some tacos at Taqueria El Si Hay . Of course Scott get sent to the cities you don't want to visit in summer. Hey, I just go where they send me. I should've got some elotes on the side. It was only 98 and humid. Just your typical Dallas summer day. I ended up finding a shady park to eat. There’s a lot, and I mean a ton, of suburban sprawl in Dallas proper. But if you look hard enough there’s some rather large areas of pre-WWII development.

Work Trip to Dallas

Another work trip for Scott means another Chinese buffet.  I had to try the best Chinese buffet in Dallas. It just feels like something you do in Texas. I was down in Dallas for a shoot at Parker University. Yeah, I'd also never heard of it. After the shoot and the buffet, I explored the Oak Cliff section of Dallas from L.O. Daniel to the Bishop Arts District. When I go to a sunbelt town I typically look up "most walkable neighborhood" on Reddit. Almost always your best bet in these sprawling metroplexes. Yup, definitely in Texas. I wasn't hungry at this point, but next time I'm in Dallas, I've got to eat at Taqueria El Si Hay. This place just screams, "Really good tacos, here!"

A Texas-Louisiana-Arkansas Hipcamp Road Trip: A Torres-Tuska Texas Camping and Austin Exploring Reunion

Before we could meet up with Cevonne, JT and the family we had to eat. We drove to Fredericksburg. A little tourist town in the middle of nowhere.

A Texas-Louisiana-Arkansas Hipcamp Road Trip: Arkansas' Baby Bear Camp and Blue Mountain Peak in Texas Hill COuntry

Day 1 - Tuesday This really is the summer of Hipcamp. When the opportunity came up for Scott to do some campsites around Austin we knew this was also the perfect excuse to see our friends Cevonne and Jose. With the time I've taken off of work already I wasn't sure I'd be able to go. Luckily I was given the okay and we were on our next adventure. Brooke did in fact get off and one night in mid-July we were driving as far as we could in one night through Iowa and onto Missouri. Scott picked me up from work with plans to get as close to Arkansas as we could.
