Crafts, Backyard Skating and Como Zoo Visit

It's ice skating season, but that doesn't mean we spent the whole weekend out on the backyard rink. During the week Meadow and I got a chance to rollerblade at the Vikings stadium. She's way faster than me. I thought it would be like ice skating, it is but also not. I thought I didn't do too bad having not skated in 20 years.  The kids are back into doing crafts again. Theo claimed the potholder loom too hard so Meadow took over.

A Battle Creek Hike

Since my horrible cartwheel attempt a few weeks ago I realized I'm not as flexible as I used to be so I've started doing stretches every morning to help with that. The next morning I brought back some La Belle Crepe for us to nosh on. I've really been in to making crepes for a few years now. It's much easier than pancakes and what I grew up on.  I can't say we made maple caramel apple filling. One egg to one cup flour to one cup milk. Much easier than pie. Our new favorite drink is chai latte. I made some to go with our breakfast.  Meadow kept watch on us.  Last year we didn't "do gifts" except I ended up getting Scott a crepe pan. This year he got me an inflatable mattress for backpack camping. I wasn't expecting such a pricey gift. It will totally be worth it. Now I just need one. I got him ove...
