Super Train Sunday

Yesterday I was reorganizing our spices when I noticed we had a lot of cinnamon. With the negative temps these days cinnamon rolls sounded like a good treat for breakfast.

Theo, Meadow and I will not say no to some homemade goodness.

Yum, yum.

That's the stuff.

Our only plan for the day was to build a giant train track using all our tracks.

It started out with logic and ended by using the many leftover curving parts.

Apparently we need more straight pieces.

Meadow added a Lincoln Logs depot and blocks zoo, Brooke built a block city and Theo and I added vacation land and an enchanted forest.

Then Theo insisted on a piggy back ride around the house.

That's about it on these Covid days at home.

Yardwork, Ikea and Pumpkins

My new parents-in-law got us a dehydrator for the wedding. Knowing we were going to be cleaning up the garden and going to farmer's market, we took a gander at our millionth kitchen device during breakfast.   Scott added granola to his oatmeal.  The oatmeal was rather bland, just the way Brooke likes it.   Scott was actually cleaning up so I had to take a quick photo of him as proof.  Scott told me he was, "putting a blanket down for Peanut," while singing. During the winter months peanut needs a warm place to peer through the window. Seeing as it was nearly November, I setup his blanket for him. Seeing as the farmers market season is dwindling down, we headed to the market...once again. The close proximity to the cities central farmer's market has to be one of the best assets of living in NoMi. We were both amazed by the bounty of produce still on sale. We quickly filled up our first bag and took it back to the car....

Honeymoon: Madeline Island Without a Kayak? At Least We Brought Bikes.

We made it safely to Bayfield without getting attacked by any bears . I think that's because of my wily driving skills.

Up to Green Bay and down to Milwaukee

The next day Scott really wanted to go to Green Bay since he hadn't been there since he was 10. I warned him that there wasn't much to see, but he insisted.  Driving in, I could tell the place was kind of trashy. We saw a thrift store and decided to stop. Because it was Black Friday everything in the store was half off.  Blake found the perfect t-shirt for me, seeing as I had been pulled over the night before. Although we didn't get these dishes we did find a vintage tree stand for only $1.50. I so want these! We drove all around Green Bay until there was nothing left to see. I haven't been to Bay Beach in years. It was weird to see what was once a picnic area now a giant parking lot and rollercoaster. Makes me want to come back next summer.  Scott had also been wanting to try Taste of the Windy City in Little Chute.  I think he now knows what we won't be doing when we come back again. This actually looks really...
