Meadow @ 2 Years

Two years old is so much better than the newborn stage. Every new stage is always so much better than the last.

Meadow weighs 23 pounds and is 31 inches tall.

She loves running, climbing, going for bike rides, singing, playing in her sand box and being outside.

Her favorite book is Dr Suess' ABC. Her favorite color is green. Her favorite letter is H.

Her favorite foods are pancakes, any fruit, oatmeal, cucumbers, yogurt, milk, noodles, and avocados.

She is currently working on her back molars. She still likes to bite things when she's excited.

She probably knows over 100 words. Her favorite letter is H and favorite shape is a heart. Whenever she drops something she says, "Where'd it go?"

She usually goes to bed around 9 and wakes up around 9-9:30. I love that she's still a late sleeper.

Over the River & Through the Woods to Grandmothers House We Clean

My mom had wanted us to come down to my grandparents home to clean for months. Unfortunately a busy summer had kept us away. We finally made it a week after our honeymoon ended. We slept at my parents home in Cudahy before heading down to Racine. We got home from our trip on Tuesday and left for Milwaukee on Thursday. It was almost like an extended vacation. Before leaving the cities we stopped and had dinner at Foxy Falafel. It was pretty good and I like that she uses sprouted chickpeas.  I never knew my grandparents on Poppyseed Tuska's side so Grandma and Grandpa Wojcik were a special part of my life. They both passed away last year after living nearly 90 wonderful years.  Their home was always a wonderfully warm and inviting place. The perfect place to spend your Christmas Eve in front of a fire place. Since it's going to be sold, Brooke and I took on the massive task of organizing and cleaning the home. When Scott told me h...

Honeymoon: Locks, Falls and a Damn Ankle

Once we decided to exit stage Mackinac, we had to decide what to do asap.

Farmer's Markets, Home Tours and Dirt

We slept in again today. It's becoming a bad habit of mine lately. I was really hungry when I woke up so I had an apple and a few strawberries. Grandpa Lungwitz got a big writeup in the Redgranite paper and he sent us the story in the mail. After deciding we had to make it to the farmer's market and breakfast could wait, we checked out the demolished Broadway Liquor Outlet along the way. It got heavily damaged by the tornado and sat rotting away for nearly a year.  Here's what it looked like right after the storm. It really was one of my favorite buildings on the northside. It made Penn and Broadway.  The owner is going to be erecting a large multi-use building across the street. So, we'll get back the best liquor store on the Northside. I haven't heard anything about what will go in that hole. Brooke and I meandered through Near North to the farmers market. I was pretty excited that this weekend was the opening.  There wasn't much...
