Another North Minneapolis Home Tour

I'm starting to actually feel pregnant. Besides the back pain, reflux and mild contractions, I feel pretty good. I am constantly being asked by strangers when I'm due. Luckily no one has tried to touch my belly.  Only I can touch the belly. It's finally warmed up enough around here that I was able to move the seedlings to the back porch. Peanut loves that he has windows to look out of again.  We were supposed to have griddle cakes on Saturday night, but grilled out with friends instead. This batter is gluten free and required me to use our grain mill. We ended up eating an hour or so after having some issues grinding oatmeal. I was worried these weren't going to taste good. It seems like whenever we make something that takes forever it doesn't turn out. They were pretty good. I also didn't have that heavy feeling I get after eating pancakes and they kept me full longer.  They weren't pretty at all. I'm pretty sure the

Sisters and Neice Visit (or Chelsea Loves Shopping)

I found a pompom I made in my knitting bag. I thought Peanut might like to play with it. I guess he liked it too much.  Too bad he tore it apart. The little bugger adored the thing and tore it to shreads. Chelsea, Brittany and Marina came to visit for the weekend. Chelsea wanted to do some shopping and Brittany wanted to get out of the house. Scott wanted to come with but he knows how slow Chelsea can be so he passed. My sunday wouldn't be very fun at home, but at least Brittany and my little niece Marina were there to keep me company. By the time I at lunch Brittany still hadn't awoke. So much for hanging with them. With another April snowstorm our seedlings won't be hitting the garden until at least mid-

Go away snow! Summer where are you?

I hope it warms up soon, my winter coat is getting harder to button. While Brooke's getting bigger, peanut is stil a creeper. It was too cold by the window so I had to move my seedlings back into the greenhouse. Worst Spring ever. The snow was actually very pretty. We talked about going snowshoeing until it turned to cold rain. And yes that is our Christmas tree. We have plans to cut it up to use as kindling. For breakfast Scott suggested big pancakes. We hadn't had that for awhile so I was excited. Although we had to substitute buttermilk for milk and spelt flour for all-purpose flour. Back during our honeymoon I thought it would be fun to jump in the sand dunes. I forgot my camera was in my back pocket and eventually sand got in the lens so it stopped working. Scott finally got around to fixing it. I took it apart a week ago to see If I could get the sand out of the lens. That didn't work. So, I ordered a new lens off of eBay and a
