One Last Attic Bedroom to Paint

Meadow made Theo and her Big Pancakes for breakfast. She's becoming quite the little baker and chef. I'm not sure how little she is. I mean, yes, rather short, but she's already 9 1/2!   Mmmm...big pancake. Meadow loves to draw. Once in a while Theo will join.  He needs somebody else to get him excited for art time. We just had the final touches left to do on the walls in the attic. It was coming together very nicely.  Just don't mention how I had bubbling in way too many places to count on this wall and had to go back and patch like 20 spots.

Painting Our Bedroom, Open Streets and Evening Walks

I always say we don't need to add another hobby. I always lose out. This time Meadow got roller blades. She had been asking for some and found ones her size at Play It Again Sports. It gets her outside and keeps her practicing for ice skating.

A January Friendsgiving

Scott had been working nights all week while I picked up extra hours/days. Today he finally got a chance to sleep in. I had to shoot five gyms in the immediate area plus two further afield at 10 pm every night this week. Some nights I wasn't home until four or five in the morning. I was pooped. We were going to have a January Friendsgiving, but first Meadow wanted to make a tent behind one our chairs. I guess we didn't need to build a tent after all. The Tandoori Turkey  (we skipped the turkey bag and covered it with Silpats for the last two hours) had already been cooking for hours when we started all the sides. Curried-cumin potatoes. Wi...

Visitations

We finally had some visitors to see Meadow that didn't include our local friends. She had visitors five days in a row. Friday night she got to meet her Grandparents for the first time.  My rents haven't come up in a while. I was surprised that they were the first relatives to see little Meadow. Saturday morning she was even lucky enough to have some visitors all the way from Sweden.  I'm so glad I got to see my favorite family from Europe. I hope we continue to keep in touch.  Brooke cooked for them for a few years and always loved those work days. It was nice to finally meet the Johnssons. They brought me a gift basket full of my favorite fruits, diaper rash cream, calming lotion and another book for me to read on how to be a mom.  We always have homemade ice cream in the house. I want to set a good example for her so I should probably cut down on what we eat.  A good example is the fact that we make our own ice cream and...
