My rad brother hooked us up with a pair of Packers tickets at Lambeau. We've been talking about doing this for years now and it was finally happening! A Tuska Brothers' Packers Weekend.
We met up at the bar at Kroll's West where he was already noshing on a sausage and black olive pizza. Are we even brothers? Doesn't he know that sausage always goes with green bell peppers or spinach?
We got the cheapest hotel room in town at the Bay Motel and Family Restaurant. It looks straight out of the 50s and I don't think its trying to be cute. To be honest the place is just nice.
After settling in we got beer over at Badger State Brewing. Our friend Jordan, who we just met up with a few weeks back in Seattle, designed some of their newest cans. So we had to stop by.
After a couple of beers we drove up the bay to Club Chalet in Benderville for an authentic Wisconsin Supper Club experience.
This place was packed! I've never experienced this before, but they have you order your food at the bar. That way when you take a seat, your food will be at the table in a jiffy.
Sorry, I forgot to take pics of the steak and pork chop. We were too busy arguing about the origins of cracker crust pizza. I did catch my broham drinking a tiny ice cream drink.
We'll need to bring Mike and Gail up here. It was that good.
In the morning we ate breakfast right next door at the motel's diner.
The place was teaming with Packers fans.
Then we walked over to Lambeau from the motel and took in the pregame ambience.
The game was a disappointment. Especially since my favorite player, Tucker Kraft, got injured. Oh and the loss. But it was cool finally going to a game with my big brother.
We were a bit down from the results, so we did what any dudes ought to. We got some good food.
Colin made the right choice with Club Chalet, but I needed to take him to Cheesesteak Rebellion, my favorite Philly place, well, anywhere.
A little pinball.
And a whole lot of cheese. This place rules. They have the classic Philly, but I always go with the pepper steak.
If we were normal we'd have called it a night, but we had to go try out Kroll's East. Or at least get a beer.
I opted for just a beer, but Colin had to get their quintessential butter burger. I got a little nibble and thought it pretty, pretty good. Colin wasn't all that impressed, but we did have some fun talking to the bartenders about the history of the two Kroll's in town. This was the OG, for the record.
I mentioned to Colin that there was a good frozen custard place in town. So despite no room for more food, we got some Zesty's.
We both had to get back home to Chicago and Minneapolis come morning, but I had more places up my sleeve.
After sampling way too many kringles we settled on splitting up two of my favorites.
Until next time, big bro!
Of course I had to stop by Nueske's for some bacon on the way home.
