A Day In The Life Of Me

This is the actual time I got up this morning. It's nice having days off. 4 out of the 7 days of the week I have off.

I get out of our IKEA framed bed. With Scott gone I take advantage of the whole bed.

Everyone morning I eat my cereal and check out what's new on Facebook.

By the looks of me in the mirror I see I am in need of a shower.

I go fast because I am afraid of the bathtub falling through the floor.

I stand pondering in my makeshift closet looking for something to wear. I always complain I have no dresses when my closet is obviously stuffed with them.

Being the good girlfriend that I am I quickly clean up the room before Scott gets home.

After all the hard work I relax with a game of Beautiful Katamari

Scott finally returns after his long weekend in Milwaukee. Kitty is happy too.

We go downstairs to make lunch. It turns out someone has eaten all our pizzas.

Instead we have cereal and toaster strudels.

Scott leaves me to go to school

Its cold out so he wears his hat

He leaves me laundry to put away

I help Cevonne look for an apartment

I become quite bored

I decide to do some knitting until Scott gets back

The kitchen is a disaster area we got out for dinner. Scott seems excited.

Mmmm Chipotle

I end the night by making the little brother a mix cd

Don't let the bed you saw earlier fool you. We each sleep with our own blankets on our sides.

All in all I'd say this day was pretty boring. I promise my life is a little more interesting than this. I like the idea of this photo diary, I might start making all my posts this way.

i like the pizza note!!!! i watched viva piniata for you. The frog is mean cuz he sends ppl to human birthday parties. also i learned that beavers are contruction workers in the show.

I want a scarf. I either want a plain dark maroon or bloody color.

Birthday Ice Cream Pie, Pierogi Fish Fry and Other Stuff

For Brooke's actual birthday we got an ice cream pie from Milkjam. Not quite as good as Sebastian Joe's cakes, but still good. Oh, happy birthday, Killer Bee. You know we love a good lenten fish fry. The Ukranian American Community Center in Northeast Minneapolis does one with Pierogis as the side. Or are they main dish? Either way, pretty, pretty good. I had heard about this a couple years ago and had been wanting to try it. The kids chickened out and got spaghetti. They even had a band playing Ukranian folk music. We decided to go on an after dinner walk through Boom Island Park and onto Nicollet Island. We promised the kids a playground and they were sorely disappointed. What a dream it would be to live on Nicollet Island. But also why did they knock down all the cool old commercial buildings lining Hennepin ? Got some new pants. Theo had to try them out first. An Appalachian Hipcamp Road Trip: A MKE and O-HI-O pitstop on the way to Tawney Farm, West Virginia

Day 1 Scott had gotten a lucky gig to check out some off the beaten path campsites for Hipcamp. Our trip was going to bring us to the Appalachians. We packed our car full and headed east "early" Friday morning. Early for us is never that early, but at least we got out on the road at a decent hour. While driving through Madison we stopped at Cabela's to pick up a few more supplies that we would need. Our original plan was to make it to Indiana Sand Dunes tonight. Scott mentioned that if we drive through Milwaukee we could skip the Chicago tolls. I agreed and then he asked if we could stop in Cudahy to say hi to the folks. I said we might as well stay the night. When we got there we went to Tsing Tao with my dad, my childhood favorite restaurant. It's in an old Ihop and has a great buffet at any time of the day. Brooke's Brithday Cabin Weekend: Soudan Undergournd-Lake Vermillion State Park Edition

It was Brooke's birthday cabin weekend. We were going to the brand new camper cabins at Soudan Mine-Lake Vermillion State Park, but decided to break up our drive in Duluth. Remnants of Boubville still stand in Blake's backyard. Scott and I wanted to get breakfast at Duluth Grill but the kids won with their request for Superior Waffles . The place is pretty good to be honest. Blake has made progress since we were here last. He said he was trying to get it all done before Easter and was then disappointed to learn we wouldn't be coming for Easter this year. Sorry Blake and Daniel. If we had more room in our Roadsufer campervan rental , we'd bring you along next month. This years birthday cabin brought us to Lake Vermilion State Park . My original plan was to go to Winnipeg, but knowing this mild winter, we didn't think that would work. We even talked about going to Arkansas.
