Donuts and Shelf Installs

Hey our living room is clean.

It certainly isn't anymore as I type.

We had plans to go to Duluth this weekend for the Duluth Preservation Alliance Tour. I just so happened to sit next to one of our tires and thank God I did.

This sucked on two levels. We couldn't have a Duluth weekend with Blake and Daniel and we had to replace our tires just as we were set to sell our Honda Insight.

Somehow Theo talked us into getting donuts at Bogarts.

It really isn't too hard to do that.

True.

Lucky Theo got one of the last s'mores donuts.

I don't think I've ever seen this intersection this busy.

I think its the new protected bikeway on Bryant. It's kind of a big deal.

Pecan was sleeping in Theo's bed so Theo tucked her in.

Meadow went to a friends house so Theo and I played Candy Land.

It was time to hang up a few things up in Meadow's room.

With Meadow gone and no other plans today we decided to finally finish Meadow's bedroom.

I have a fancy stud finder, but I still find it rather unprecise.

Meadow needed these shelves for all her knick knacks. And we had to hang the big photo of her favorite kitty.

Theo organized Candy Land after they played.

When Meadow returned we had ramen.

It's one of our new go-to meals recently. Meadow has been obsessed with it since we watched all the Ghibli films.

Yardwork, Ikea and Pumpkins

My new parents-in-law got us a dehydrator for the wedding. Knowing we were going to be cleaning up the garden and going to farmer's market, we took a gander at our millionth kitchen device during breakfast.   Scott added granola to his oatmeal.  The oatmeal was rather bland, just the way Brooke likes it.   Scott was actually cleaning up so I had to take a quick photo of him as proof.  Scott told me he was, "putting a blanket down for Peanut," while singing. During the winter months peanut needs a warm place to peer through the window. Seeing as it was nearly November, I setup his blanket for him. Seeing as the farmers market season is dwindling down, we headed to the market...once again. The close proximity to the cities central farmer's market has to be one of the best assets of living in NoMi. We were both amazed by the bounty of produce still on sale. We quickly filled up our first bag and took it back to the car....

Work Trip: Scott Goes to Florida

As I mentioned in the last post, I had a job down in Florida at the tail end of the week. Daytona Beach to be precise.    I proposed the whole family tag along, but they did not like the idea of Florida in the Summer. Anyways, after my shoot I checked Ormond Beach just to the north of Daytona. Theo is allergic to the sun and I knew he would hate going.  If there wasn't four lanes of busy traffic, this town would be great.

With Spring Comes Biking

Whenever daylight savings changes I flip the mattress. (I know I'm a little late) Every new season I change the duvet cover.  Scott actually helps me this time. Yup, I'm cool like that. I was a little worried we had too much dough so we got out every pan that could be used for muffins. I was wrong, we only needed two pans. By the time we actually eat "breakfast," at least that's what Brooke calls it, Peanut has already finished most of his Organmix. I know, we spoil the little runt. Speaking of Brooke's fascination with breakfast, she will not eat anything that resembles lunch for her first meal of the day. So, even on the laziest Sunday, breakfast comes before lunch. As you can see Brooklyn really loved her muffin-fast -- even if it was already 1 p.m. While I finish up some dishes Brooke cleans the kitchen. Did you know that Brooke is a cleaning expert (really, she'll clean your house or cook for you. H...
