Like I was in 5th grade again, I got up early before school waiting by the t.v. to see if my school was cancelled. They were only on the s's, 10 minutes later the a's finally came and my school was listed. But unlike actually being in 5th grade where I would go out and play in the snow I was completly lazy. Having two snow day's in a row was nice though. I played guitar hero and knitted, flowers that is.





Here are some things I made in school. Marzipan and sugar. The first sugar sculpture was made by my entire class.








My dad called me the other the day to tell me that Anna Nicole's baby is his and we are going to inherite a lot of money soon.

  We went up to the cottage for one our never-miss weekends, Memorial Day. We got to the cottage at night and in the morning I made some crazy bacon-pancakes for the family and Brooke's parents. An Appalachian Hipcamp Road Trip: A MKE and O-HI-O pitstop on the way to Tawney Farm, West Virginia

Day 1  Scott had gotten a lucky gig to check out some off the beaten path campsites for Hipcamp. Our trip was going to bring us to the Appalachians. We packed our car full and headed east "early" Friday morning. Early for us is never that early, but at least we got out on the road at a decent hour. While driving through Madison we stopped at Cabela's to pick up a few more supplies that we would need. Our original plan was to make it to Indiana Sand Dunes tonight. Scott mentioned that if we drive through Milwaukee we could skip the Chicago tolls. I agreed and then he asked if we could stop in Cudahy to say hi to the folks. I said we might as well stay the night.  When we got there we went to Tsing Tao with my dad, my childhood favorite restaurant. It's in an old Ihop and has a great buffet at any time of the day.  Sorry Scott, I wasn't impressed. That's because your pretentious. Anyways, Meadow decided she didn't want t

And now what? We Already Saw the Fish.

Because of the latest bed bug scare we slept in our sleeping bags. The next morning we packed up and headed out.   Since the loggers cabin was closed for the season we ate at the Norske Nook .   The Nook is a small "chain" in western Wisco. I'd always seen signs for the Osseo location, but this was first time inside one of the esteemed breakfast and pie joints.  I'm happy to report that the food was really good, in an oh so Norweigan-American way (i.e. bland looking, but scrumptious nonetheless). Scott enjoyed his wild rice french toast with apples. I got a lefse breakfast wrap of sorts topped with holandaise sauce. The number one reason we mini-mooned in Hayward was the giant musky at the Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame .   Apparently there were many giant fish at the museum. And really cool looking ones. I'd never seen so many taxidermy
